SPIN - By Brian Springer

"... A devastating critique of television's profound manipulativeness in the way it packages the news and politics."
Steven Holden - THE NEW YORK TIMES

Pirated satellite TV feeds revealing U.S. media personalities' contemptuous plans for their viewers come full circle in SPIN.  TV out-takes appropriated from network satellite feeds unravel the tightly spun fabric of television which silences public debate and furthers intolerance of anyone outside the pack of journalists, politicians, spin doctors, and televangelists who manufacture the news.   SPIN moves through the L.A. rebellion and the floating TV talk-show called the 1992 U.S. presidential election with important lessons for 1996 and beyond.

"You sometimes hear and read about such duplicitous behavior, but rarely do you get to witness it for yourself ...instructive and fascinating"
Howard Rosenberg - The L.A. Times

"SPIN...tears into the cozy alliance between politicians and their spin doctors and reporters."
Des Freedman - The Socialist Review - U.K.

You really need to see this tape.  It shows how the media and politicians work together to manipulate the public.  The politicians create "spoon fed" stories which they "feed" to the news media, who in turn feeds it to the public.

This tape grabs the images off the satellite "cutting room floor" and glues them together to show how the process really works.

Call the Art Institute of Chicago and have them send you a copy of this tape.  It is well worth the $20 something dollars.
