Live in Rush Brochure - Dated September 6, 1940 I grew up in the tiny town of Rush in Upstate New York.
It was a fun place, and for most of my life it still had the character of this 1940 brochure.

If you are from Rush or if you have ever been there, you might get a kick out of this brochure.

You need the PDF reader to view it.

If you click on the brochure cover on the left, you'll get a greatly enlarged version of this same picture in high resolution (it is 1.7MB so it will take awhile to download.)   It shows the Route 15A bridge over the Honeoye Creek, the grade crossing of the Lehigh Valley Railroad and the Rush Mill (which burned in 1948).  Written on the back of the brochure in handwriting (probably my Grandmother's) is the date September 6, 1940.   I would guess that this is the date it was received.

The inside of the brochure contains a map and close up pictures of many of the houses.   The detail is a bit fuzzy but I do have a high resolution version if you are really interested.  Write me and I'll send you a copy.   The file is about 20MB, so it would take a long time to download.
