Up we went, along the Hudson.  The road winds around and has great views.

At Blue Mountain lake is the Adirondack Museum, devoted to the history of tourism in the area, mainly dating back to the 1900's.  Before air-conditioning, the huddled masses of NYC would take a series of ferries and railways to these lakes.  The museum is built on one of the camps that hosted the guests.

Then we continued North and then East to a campground outside Lake Placid.
